Think you know pizza?
Imagine savory balsamic onions and whipped ricotta atop a crisp, stone-fired crust. Or a decadent combination of local honey, garlic oil arugula, and Parmesan-Reggiano.
Indulge in small plates of goat cheese al forno with caramelized onion, balsamic vinegar and olive tapenade, or pork rillettes with cornichons. Feast your eyes as well as your taste buds on accents like roasted grapes or bruschetta with pickled heirloom tomatoes. Enjoy these made-to-order specialties paired with one of 200 wine options from around the world.
Make new memories with friends and family in a charming yet urban ambiance. All are welcome: gluten-free pizza and pasta options ensure that everyone can enjoy a fresh, local, Italian-inspired menu.
Starting Spring 2018, Basil Pizza and Wine Bar opens its doors in Perrysburg, Ohio, to offer stone-fired pizzas, fresh pastas, and global wines in a comfortable yet eclectic setting.
Restaurateurs Mel and Barb Ayers (owners of Nagoya Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi in Perrysburg and Port Clinton, and Ciao Bella in Port Clinton) have partnered with seasoned local Executive Chef and Director of Operations Paul Matthews to create a match made in food heaven. Meanwhile, General Manager Marlene Lederman ensures that each diner receives flawless service from fun, attentive staff in a relaxed atmosphere.
Their goal: to promote real conversation and in-the-moment enjoyment of great food with wonderful people.
Basil’s menu features locally sourced food prepared fresh daily by Chef Paul. Each day, diners will find a featured wine and pizza, as well as recommended pairings. Basil’s charm invites families seeking handcrafted pizza shared across natural-wood table tops, or couples celebrating anniversaries in a cozy booth over a bottle of chardonnay.
Visit Basil Pizza and Wine Bar for lunch and dinner daily: Sunday through Thursday, 11am-10pm, and Friday through Saturday, 11am-11pm.
